Tutorial System

This website is designed to provide educational researchers with a greater understanding of the theoretical perspectives of AsianCrit, emotion regulation and culture, and socio-ecological systems of support. Upon completion of this tutorial system, researchers should be able to do the following:

1. Reflect upon personal biases and stereotypes toward Asian American students. 

2. Critically examine educational research and contemporary issues neglecting the needs of Asian Americans.

3. Consider strength-based socio-ecological support systems in future research to support the academic, social, and psychological well-being of students, including Asian Americans.

Social Constructivism Instruction

Establish Prior Knowledge

All educational researchers will begin this tutorial system with different cultural beliefs, emotion regulation understanding, and educational ideologies. Following a social constructivism instructional approach, learning is shaped by our culture and experiences.
